Virtalähde Mastering

Virtalähde Mastering is a digital and analogue music mastering facility in Kuhmoinen, Finland, run by Jaakko Viitalähde since 2005. Jaakko specialises in vinyl mastering and lacquer cutting, using a Scully model 601 lathe with the Westrex 3DII cutting head and 1700A series amplifiers. Scully’s lathes have cut practically all North American music from the 1930s to the 1960s, and they have also cut many classic techno records from the 1980s and 1990s.
