Vinyl Second Life Report
Warner Music Group, GZ Media, and Abbey Road Studios teamed up to tackle a longstanding vinyl industry problem: recycling unsold and outdated records into new pressings. Their pilot project tested whether roughly 10,000 mixed-origin records could be reprocessed without sacrificing audio quality. Results were assessed through blind listening evaluations, where industry experts judged the pressings without knowing which material blends they were hearing.
