This video is a walkthrough of my Cassette Label Maker on texs.org, showing how to design and PRINT cassette label stickers on pre-cut label paper.Here is the website: https://texs.org/cassetteThere you can paste your playlist URL into the search bar -- works with playlists from SoundCloud, YouTube Music, Bandcamp, TIDAL, Apple Music, Deezer, YouTube playlists, Spotify), and you can also upload an M3U playlist file if that’s your setup, or you can just search for an album.My site then automatically splits your playlist into Side A and Side B. You can edit this placement further. I also added live updates to the duration calculation, so if your planning to make a cassette, you can plan the length accurately.From there, you can zoom the artwork in or out, edit the text, hide track numbers, change fonts, swap cover images, and “colorize” the whole label in one move for that old-school tape look. You can also adjust the background and opacity so the text stays readable.When you’re ready to print, I show the copy workflow that makes printing way less annoying: copy with bleed (so you don’t get white edges), then paste into a pre-cut label template in Photopea. I also show how to position the design using the inner circle, how to avoid bleed overlap between labels, and the crucial step: hiding the template/guide layer before you print.Last, I demo the browser print gotcha that messes up alignment. Even if it looks like “100%,” you still need to set print scaling to a custom 100% in the print dialog so it comes out true-size. 7 Best Cassette Players 2026! Retro Revival

Whether you just want to do sample work or run full digital mixdowns through cassette, In this video I show a easy and quick way of adding cassette to your music production set up, as well as taking advantage of an audio interfaces monitoring function to "fake a 3rd tape head" to allow us to monitor exactly what we've put to tape - in near real time! Most people are interested in the difference between the digital mix and a cassette run, and sometimes it can be a little awkward to send things back and forth to tape. In this video I use the Solid State Logic SSL2+ but note that on most modern audio interfaces you can use the same set up, as long as it has 2 inputs and 2 outputs (a main and a headphone usually) and most should have a "INST MONITOR" like on the Focusrite example, allowing you to use pretty much the exact same set up here.This can be a great way of adding cassette to your set up without the more cumbersome aspects of having to constantly rewind to hear how your tape recording sounds on a 2 head machine. ⚙️ Recording gear that I used but you can replace with whatever works for your set up!:• Fostex X28-h Cassette Multitracker as the Recorder• Solid State Logic SSL 2+ Audio Interface to route signals in and out of the cassette recorder without a mixing board ( a few years old now but still does the job beautifully)• 2 x 1/4 Jack to RCA Cables • 1 x 1/4 Jack to 3.5mm Cable for our Fake 3 Head Monitoring Set upThis video does assume some basic knowledge about using a mixing console but I wanted to make a full tutorial for those who might already have the gear lying around but might be put off by the more time consuming aspects of tracking to tape - but also for those who are on the fence about adding it to their own set ups!
