The Vinyl Factory

The Vinyl Factory is the only major record pressing plant in the UK, and it was once home to both EMI and HMV’s vinyl manufacturing operations. The Hayes factory is still powered by the unique EMI 1400 ‘Beatles’ Press, which presses black 12-inch, 10-inch, and 7-inch formats, as well as coloured vinyl, etched or die-cut records, and bespoke editions. They also offer a new vinyl line called Eco-Jazz, which is recycled colour PVC made from the trimmings of pressed colour records.
