Jeff Powell is a highly respected vinyl mastering/cutting engineer, producer, and recording/mixing engineer based in Memphis, Tennessee, with a career spanning over three decades. In 2008, Powell learned the craft of cutting vinyl under the mentorship of Larry Nix, using the original Stax lathe at Ardent Studios. He founded his own vinyl mastering company, Take Out Vinyl, using the Neumann VMS70 lathe, and has since become one of the most sought-after lacquer cutters in the industry.
