Based in Nagano, Japan, Public Records Co.Ltd is the world’s sole manufacturer of blank lacquer master discs in 10/12-inch and 14-inch sizes—an essential component in vinyl record production. They are the only company globally producing blank lacquer discs since the demise of LA-based Apollo Masters in 2020. Public Records started producing lacquer discs in 1982, and they’re exported worldwide by MDC.
