Run by producer/engineer Aaron C Schroeder, Pierced Ears Recording Co. (PERC) is a recording studio based in the Seattle area that specialises in short-run lathe-cut records. They offer records in 7/8-inch square/10-inch and 12-inch formats, single or double-sided, in black or crystal clear. Unlike traditional pressed vinyl, each of these records is embossed in real time using a vintage Presto 8n lathe with the very rare and highly sought-after Van Eps Duotone cutter head.
