Piccolo Audio Works

Piccolo Audio Works is an analogue mastering and lacquer-cutting studio founded by Shinya Matsushita in Tokyo, Japan. He formerly worked at a jazz-focused Tokyo studio and began cutting records in 2015, taking over the cutting lathe in 2021 and launching Piccolo as a fully independent operation. He uses a 50s Scully/Western Electric RA-1389 lathe with Westrex 3D II AH stereo cutter-head for lacquer cutting.
