Perfect Groove

The Perfect Groove Virtual Cutting Lathe is a software tool developed as part of the now-paused HD Vinyl project by Rebeat to predict how audio will be laid out and sound when cut onto vinyl. It models the behaviour of a Neumann VMS 80 lathe computer, aiming to forecast groove geometry and identify potential problem areas before actual cutting. The last version of Perfect Groove v.2.1.0 is available as a free download (Mac & PC) to anyone interested in the process of vinyl cutting.
