Pauler Acoustics

Specialising in DMM cutting since 1992, based in Northeim, Germany and led by Günter Pauler, Pauler Acoustics is one of the few remaining mastering studios left worldwide offering Direct Metal Mastering (DMM) vinyl master cutting services. They use the rare (there’s possibly only 12 surviving worldwide) Neumann VMS-82 lathes (they have two) with a Neumann SX84 cutting head, where the audio is cut directly into copper plates, bypassing traditional lacquer cutting.
