Founded in 1993, Kompakt is an independent electronic music record label, record store and webshop based in Cologne, Germany, known for pioneering the minimal techno and microhouse genres. Started as a small record shop specialising in dance music, Kompakt now offers global distribution of digital and physical releases alongside an ever-growing list of label services, a booking agency, in-house audio mastering and full production and manufacturing services.
