Johnny Electric

Founded in 2017, New Zealand-based Johnny Electric Lathe Cut Records (JE) specialises in mono lathe-cut records, embossed onto polycarbonate discs using a handmade tungsten stylus. Records are available in 7-inch and 10-inch formats, with clear, blue, grey, green, and brown vinyl variants. JE also supply 7 and 10-inch blanks and the JE-1D embossing cutting head (released in 2025). The JE-1D takes inspiration from the mono cutting heads of the 1940s.
