Audiolac

Developed in Switzerland, Audiolac is a specially formulated lacquer designed for cutting sound grooves into discs using a record-cutting lathe. Once applied and dried, the lacquer becomes the surface into which audio is etched. After years of development, Austrovinyl have started using lacquer from Audiolac for their in-house production of 14-inch master discs. They are successfully coating, cutting and electroplating their own lacquer discs and using them for pressing records.
