Artone Studio

Artone began as one of the Netherlands’ first vinyl pressing plants in 1956-1957, founded by Dirk Slinger. Artone Studio opened in 2018 at Record Industry’s Haarlem site to mark the plant’s 20th anniversary. The studio specialises in high-fidelity analogue recording and vinyl mastering, using fully restored Neumann VMS70 and Scully 601 lacquer cutting lathes, and the Neumann VMS82 Direct Metal Mastering (DMM) lathe, one of only 23 ever made.
