Silo Phonograph Lab

Studio Silo is the only facility in Iceland that specialises in the fully analog process, alongside digital. The analog-centric studio comprises five rooms, designed by acoustical expert John H. Brandt. Within this facility, there is also a cutting room, the Silo Phonograph Lab, running a restored Neumann AM131 lacquer disc cutting lathe. They offer 7-inch and 12-inch (single/LP) lathe-cut records from one disc, laser-etched and shaped discs and live direct-to-disc recording.
